Ukrainian defense forces successfully attacked the Saki military airfield in occupied Crimea on the night of February 26.

According to the ATESh guerrilla movement, the attack resulted in the killing and wounding of Russian soldiers.

In particular, some of the injured occupants were hospitalized in Saki, and the seriously wounded were evacuated to Simferopol in the morning. The guerrillas note that this airfield is strategic for Russian military aviation, and its damage significantly reduces the enemy's combat capability both in Crimea and in the Black Sea.

A few days earlier, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that the Ukrainian military had conducted a large-scale operation involving units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the GUR and other defense forces.

As part of this operation, on the night of February 26, enemy targets were attacked not only in Crimea but also in Krasnodar Krai, including oil refineries and the Saki and Kacha military airfields.

Recently, the Atesh guerrillas reported that the Russian military, which maintains air defense systems in Crimea, is preparing for large-scale strikes by the Ukrainian armed forces.

Recently, the Russian military has been actively moving equipment in Crimea after attacks by Ukrainian UAVs.

Earlier, the Russian military increased the number of air defense systems near key Russian military facilities in occupied Crimea. At the same time, they have weakened the defense of other frontline areas.

The guerrillas also discovered that the Russians have begun to redeploy their aircraft to inactive airfields. For example, the occupiers are working on runways, repairing buildings and moving military equipment and people to Zavodske airport in the temporarily occupied Simferopol.
