An interactive encyclopedia about Crimea has been created in Ukraine. The structure of the reference guide was generated by artificial intelligence based on materials from the "Crimea Is Ukraine" information platform.

Andriy Bohdanovych, deputy head of the State Energy Regulatory Commission, announced this on social media.

The new information resource contains over 400 separate articles on the peninsula, its history, cultural heritage, the Russian occupation and war crimes, the Crimean Tatar people, political repression, international politics, and the current resistance to the occupation.

The entries in the online encyclopedia are arranged in alphabetical order. There is also a search function for specific keywords, which makes it easier to navigate the resource.

The project is based on the LLM Wiki model.

“Crimea Is Ukraine” is a nationwide online repository of archival, museum, scholarly, journalistic, educational, and informational-analytical materials confirming Crimea’s close ties to mainland Ukraine. The project aims to highlight the historical, cultural, and political ties between the Crimean Peninsula and mainland Ukraine and to ensure the right to know the truth about the Russian Federation’s occupation of Crimea.

Earlier, a bill was introduced in Ukraine that would allow for the renaming of geographical names in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The draft law also explicitly provides for the possibility of restoring historical names to those places that were renamed during the Soviet era in connection with deportations, particularly of Crimean Tatars. It will be possible to implement this new provision even during the period of temporary occupation.
