Ukraine Cabinet approves Yuriy Puiko as deputy head of Odesa

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the candidacy of Yuriy Puiko, head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Manning and Social Support, for the position of deputy head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

This was announced by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Taras Melnychuk.

According to him, the government made the decision on April 29. In 2024, Yuriy Puiko was appointed head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TSC). He immediately found himself at the center of a scandal because his son received a pension in 2022, but his son was not listed in his 2023 declaration.

On August 23, after an interview with Yuriy Puiko, photos posted on Instagram of his vacation in Turkey in 2023 were published on social media. After the photos began to circulate, Yaroslav Puiko closed his profile for viewing, and the media explained that the guy was receiving a pension and was disabled.

Yuriy Puiko was born on August 6, 1980 in Sokyryany, Chernivtsi region.

In 2018, he graduated from the Ivan Chernyakhovsky National Defense University of Ukraine. Since 1997, he has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2018 to 2019, he was the Deputy Military Commissar of the Volyn Regional Military Commissariat. At the time of the election, he worked as a deputy military commissar in the Chernivtsi Regional Military Commissariat. In 2020, he unsuccessfully ran for the Chernivtsi Regional Council of the 8th convocation from the Agrarian Party of Ukraine.

In his declaration for 2024, the head of the regional TCC indicated that last year he received service housing for use - an apartment of 52.4 square meters. His wife became the owner of a 380-square-meter land plot in the village of Ustia, Kamianets-Podilskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region.

Yuriy Puiko declared two salaries in the Odesa TCC of UAH 389,695 and in the Khmelnytsky Regional TCC of UAH 270,946. He received another UAH 17,675 as social assistance. His wife also received two salaries at Chernivtsi Polyclinic #2 - UAH 378.81 and at Chernivtsi Clinical Hospital - UAH 63,349.

Yuriy Puiko keeps 18 thousand US dollars in cash, and his wife keeps 5 thousand euros.
