The occupation heads of Novoberislav and Odradokamianka have been served with a notice of suspicion.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional and Beryslav District Prosecutor's Offices, two residents of the region were served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the first suspect is a woman who voluntarily headed the so-called Novoberislav Village Council in July 2022. The second suspect is a man who, around the same time, became the "head of the Odradokamiansky village council". In their pseudo-positions, they performed organizational, administrative and economic functions in the illegally created authorities, formed the apparatus of the pseudo-authority, communal enterprises and institutions, and implemented the occupation policy in various spheres of community life.
The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.
Earlier it was reported that based on the SBU materials, a collaborator who held a senior position in the occupation "government" of Kherson region was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison. The court found the "official" guilty under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced her to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. In addition, she was deprived of the right to hold any positions in public authorities, public administration, local governments, as well as positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative or administrative and economic functions for a period of 10 years.
Another suspect is a resident of Kherson, who headed the faculty of the seized university during the occupation. In her pseudo-position, she ensured the admission campaign to the educational institution, personally accepted the documents of applicants as part of the admission committee.
