Tragedy in Odesa region: rocket attack kills 4 people, including a child

Late in the evening, on October 10, the occupiers again attacked Odesa region with ballistic missiles. As of the morning, there are 4 dead and 10 wounded. Among the victims is a 16-year-old girl.

According to Oleh Kiper, the head of the OVA, a two-story building where civilians lived and worked was destroyed as a result of a missile attack in Odesa district. People were trapped under the rubble.

"Rescuers of the State Emergency Service rescued four people, unfortunately, three more people died under the rubble of the building. Among the dead are a 43-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl. Another woman died in hospital from her injuries," the head of the region said.

In addition, 10 people were injured, nine of whom were hospitalized. Four of the victims are in serious condition. Ten people were provided with psychological assistance on the spot.

Update 9:00: According to the press service of the Odesa regional prosecutor's office, the attack was carried out on October 10 at about 22:35 on civilian infrastructure. Preliminary, Odesa district was attacked by an Iskander-M ballistic missile. A building where employees of a private enterprise lived and production facilities were destroyed.

The inspection is currently ongoing, and a full list of destruction and damage is being established. An investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched.

In Odesa region, October 11 was declared a day of mourning due to the loss of life as a result of a Russian missile attack on the port of Chornomorsk.

Eight civilians were killed. Six people died immediately at the site of the missile hit, and two more men died the next day in hospital. They suffered severe injuries incompatible with life.

In recent days, the occupiers have attacked civilian vessels in the ports of Odesa region three times.

In particular, on the evening of October 9, a civilian vessel flying the Panamanian flag, the container ship Shui Spirit, was damaged during an attack.

Prior to that, Russia attacked a civilian vessel in the ports of Odesa region. A ballistic missile damaged the Palau-flagged OPTIMA vessel. One person died as a result of the enemy attack. Five other foreign nationals, crew members, were injured.

The day before, on October 6, Russians fired on the civilian shipPARESA flying the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis, which was loaded with corn for export. It happened near one of the berths in the Pivdennyi seaport.
