The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a Russian Su-24 at the airfield in Saki

Ukrainian defenders struck military targets in occupied Crimea and several regions occupied by Russia. Among the targets hit was a Su-24 aircraft at the Saki airfield.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the strikes were carried out on September 15 and during the night of September 16. A Su-24 aircraft was struck at the Saki airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

In Suvorovo and Risovo, in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, “Grenadier” technical reconnaissance posts were struck.

Other strikes targeted military facilities of the Russian army in the temporarily occupied territories and in areas where hostilities are ongoing. 

Near the city of Donetsk, a storage, preparation, and launch site for enemy attack drones was struck.

In Staromlynivka and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, as well as in Pokrovsk in the Zaporizhzhia region, command centers for the occupiers’ drones were struck.

In Dovzhansk, Luhansk Oblast, an enemy ammunition depot was struck.

In Rovenky, Luhansk Oblast, and Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the invaders’ fuel and lubricant storage facilities were struck.

In August, the Defense Forces also struck the occupied Crimea. At that time, a Russian Su-24M fighter jet and four pieces of airport equipment were struck at the “Saki” airfield.

Prior to that, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked an airfield in Crimea and destroyed seven aircraft.
