The Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support commented on the video of a conflict in one of the courtyards of the Peresypskyi district of Odesa, which was accompanied by shots.

As explained in the regional TCC, the incident occurred on March 17 and was fired by one of the military of the alert group.

According to the TCC, while checking military records, the joint alert group identified a citizen who, according to the relevant databases, was wanted for unauthorized departure from the military unit. They tried to detain him, but he tried to escape and was detained with the use of force. However, the struggle attracted the attention of passers-by who did not know about the status of the detainee and tried to prevent the detention.

They used physical force and tear gas against the servicemen, and also tried to block the official vehicles. Finally, one of the soldiers fired a starter pistol into the air. This, according to the TCC, allowed them to stabilize the situation, complete the detention of the person and hand him over to law enforcement.

This is not the first case of shooting by the military of the CCC in Odesa. In February, a domestic conflict arose between two servicemen while performing their duties along the alert route. During the dispute, one of the servicemen violated discipline and fired a blank cartridge into the air with an Erma stun gun.

The official of the TCC in Odesa also promised the soldier a transfer to the rear and subsequent dismissal from the service. Law enforcement officers detained him immediately after receiving the bribe and now he faces liability for influence peddling. In exchange for UAH 300,000, he promised to help a soldier of an assault regiment transfer from the front line to a rear unit and to assist in his subsequent discharge.
