The occupiers punished a Crimean man who filmed a camouflaged Russian fuel truck

An occupation court in Kerch fined a local resident for a video of a military fuel truck that had been disguised as a civilian truck. The man filmed the vehicle on his phone and sent the video to a friend in Moldova.

According to the publication, the defendant is52-year-old Serhiy Makedonsky. He was found guilty under a Russian law regarding the so-called “discrediting” of the Russian Federation’s army and was fined 30,000 rubles. The ruling took effect on August 18.

As noted, the incident occurred on June 12 on the outskirts of Kerch.Makedonsky noticeda military KamAZ truck equipped with a tanker and a wooden frame that concealed its true purpose.

The man filmed the vehicle on his phone, commented on what he saw, and sent the recording to a friend living in Moldova.

The video later appeared on the public Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” after which it began to be shared by Ukrainian media outlets and Telegram channels.

Following this, Russian security forces detained the man. A report was filed against him by officers of the FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol.

The Russian side claimed that the publication of the video allegedly revealed details of military logistics. An advisor to the occupying head of Crimea then accused the man of “exposing” the transport of fuel.

Makedonsky was not present in court. In a written statement, he admitted guilt and asked not to be punished severely. The court considered this a mitigating circumstance and imposed the minimum fine. If he fails to pay on time, he faces enforcement proceedings or a new charge.

The incident occurred amid a severe fuel shortage in Crimea, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces were striking oil depots, convoys, and the occupiers’ logistics, while the Russian occupation authorities were imposing limits at gas stations.
