"The last of the Mohicans": three more Odesa MPs leave the Party of Regions faction in the parliament

Today, during the opening of the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Koshulynskyy announced the resignation of Serhiy Kivalov, Anton Kisse and Serhiy Hrynevetskyy from the Party of Regions faction.

Today, at the opening of the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Koshulynskyy announced that Serhiy Kivalov, Anton Kisse and Serhiy Hrynevetskyy had left the Party of Regions faction.

Thus, the Party of Regions has only 78 MPs left in the parliamentary faction. This was reported by the Novoe Vremya publication with reference to the Ukrainian News.

As a result of the "escape" from the former majority faction, only Vilen Shatvoryan, who, according to media reports, is a friend of Yanukovych Jr. (the son of the fugitive ex-president), is left in the parliament out of the former 13 Odesa MPs who were members of the Party of Regions.

Among the former Party of Regions members, Svitlana Fabrykant and David Zhvania are currently non-factional. The Economic Development group includes Leonid Klimov, Oleksandr Pressman, Vitaliy Barvinenko and Yuriy Kruk. Ivan Fursin is a member of the Modern European Ukraine group.

The seat of the former MP from the Party of Regions, and currently the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, remains vacant.

Despite the fact that MPs of various levels continue to leave the odious Party of Regions, the political force retains its influence in the Odesa City Council.
