Odesa deputies receive ₴191,100 compensation for housing rent in

In January and February 2025, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine paid 191.1 thousand hryvnias to MPs elected to defend the interests of Odesa region as compensation for the cost of renting a house or renting a hotel room.

The relevant documents were published by the press service of the parliament.

In January and February, five MPs from Odesa region are on the list of recipients of this compensation:

In February, these MPs received a total of UAH 101.1 thousand for January, all except Oleksandr Tkachenko, who received UAH 20,150 - he received UAH 19.5 thousand, and in March, all five received UAH 18.2 thousand for February, respectively, for a total of UAH 91 thousand.

According to Article 35 of the law "On the Status of a Member of Parliament of Ukraine," members of the Verkhovna Rada receive compensation for renting an apartment or paying for a hotel room, provided that they are not provided with housing in the capital and have a registered place of residence more than 30 kilometers from Kyiv.

Meanwhile, the Center for Public Investigations analyzed the annual declarations of MPs elected from Odesa region. The leader in terms of personal income was Mykola Skoryk, MP from the banned OPFL party, who declared UAH 3.2 million in 2024.

The third position was shared by two MPs from the Servant of the People party, Oleksandr Tkachenko and Oleh Kolev, who declared UAH 1.7 million each. Both of them have been consistently among the five richest MPs from Odesa region for several years in a row.

These five MPs also received compensation for renting a house or staying in a hotel over the past year. Each of them received UAH 19.5 thousand.
