95 members of the Verkhovna Rada received compensation for renting housing or staying in a hotel last year. Among them are five representatives of Odesa region.

The data on payments are published on the parliament's website.

The Odesa MPs who received compensation are Oleh Kolev, Serhiy Koleboshyn, Oleksiy Leonov and Oleksandr Tkachenko from the Servant of the People faction, as well as Mykola Skoryk, who represented the OPFL. Each of them received UAH 19,500.

The total amount of rental payments for all MPs for the year exceeded UAH 20 million.

According to Article 35 of the Law "On the Status of People's Deputy of Ukraine", members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine receive compensation for renting an apartment or paying for a hotel room, provided that they are not provided with housing in the capital and have a registered place of residence more than 30 kilometers from the boundaries of Kyiv.

Earlier, the Chesno movement reported that even MPs who declare fur coats worth a million and own TV channels and are called "local feudal lords" receive compensation for housing in the capital from taxpayers' funds. People who own a number of companies and business assets, as well as current fugitives and collaborators, are eligible for the benefit.

Meanwhile, the Center for Public Investigations analyzed electronic documents on the property and income of MPs representing Odesa region and selected the most interesting points about their real estate.

The top five millionaires are led by MP from the banned OPFL party Mykola Skoryk, who earned UAH 2.80 million. A significant part of his income came from the sale of property.

We also noticed Odesa "servant" Oleh Kolev, who earned UAH 1.28 million. This includes the MP's full package: salary, reimbursement of expenses related to the performance of his parliamentary duties, compensation for the cost of renting housing, and travel costs within Ukraine.

And MP Oleksiy Leonov 's real estate, vehicles, and his wife's savings, which he declared in 2022, have disappeared.
