The enemy fired a ballistic missile at the port infrastructure of Chornomorsk

The terrorist country of Russia fired a ballistic missile at the port of Chornomorsk. The strike damaged containers and caused an oil leak.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Sea Port Authority, Oleh Kiper.

Russian Federation troops fired a ballistic missile at the port infrastructure of Chornomorsk, hitting a pier where a civilian vessel flying the Maltese flag was stationed. Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that one crew member was injured in the attack.

The vessel was preparing to transport containerized cargo. The missile attack damaged three containers and caused an oil leak. To localize the consequences of the incident, a boom barrier is being installed in the port.

At night, Odesa region came under a massive attack by Russian attack drones. Air defense shot down most of the targets, but civilian infrastructure was damaged in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district.

As a result of the shelling, two one-story administrative buildings were destroyed and set on fire. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire on the spot. There were no casualties, one security guard was injured and received medical treatment on the spot.

On January 12, an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle hit a Panamanian-flagged tanker waiting to enter a port to load vegetable oil near the coast of Odesa region. One crew member was wounded in the attack.

Also on January 10, the Russian army attacked industrial infrastructure in Odesa region.

On January 9, a Russian attack drone also hit a civilian ship flying the foreign flag of St. Kitts and Nevis on its way to the port of Chornomorsk, which was loading grain cargo within the Ukrainian Sea Corridor. There were casualties. As a result of the attack, an empty tank was damaged on the territory of a port company and insulation caught fire.
