Environmental damage from the fire caused by the Russian attack on Odesa region on September 28 reached 300 thousand hryvnias.

This was reported by the press service of the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Southwestern District.

According to environmentalists, the fire engulfed 1,200 square meters of production and storage facilities. The fire released approximately 100 tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere, including 95 tons of carbon dioxide.

On the night of September 28, Russia attacked Odesa region again, but unlike the two previous attacks, this time a winery in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district was hit. The attack damaged the roof of a nearby private residential building. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured. The strike destroyed the winery's workshop and finished goods warehouse. A work shift of 50 employees was evacuated. Then the enemy damaged the bottling plant and warehouses of Akkerman Distillery, where Aznauri cognac is produced.

The enemy launched a combined strike on the territory of Ukraine using attack UAVs, air and sea-based missiles. In total, during the strike, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 643 air attack vehicles.

The day before, Odesa Railways resumed train traffic, which was stopped due to the Russian attack on September 26 in Rozdilnyansky district, but due to the shelling on September 27, several more flights will temporarily be suspended.

Prior to that, experts from the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District assessed the environmental damage caused by the Russian Federation's attack on the oil depot of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR in Odesa region. The attack took place on August 18. The shelling damaged the Azerbaijani company's oil product warehouses and private homes.
