The occupying head of Kakhovka in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region, Pavlo Filipchuk, said that his car was allegedly attacked by a drone.
According to Filipchuk, the incident occurred on March 5. He wrote on his telegram channel that he was in the car with a colleague during the attack.
According to him, after the first strike, the car managed to stay on the road and avoided collisions with other cars. After that, the collaborator claims, they managed to drive on and avoid another drone.
Filipchuk also said that this was allegedly"not the first attempt" on his life.
It is known that earlier a Ukrainian court sentenced Pavel Filipchuk to 15 years in prison in absentia for collaborating with the occupation authorities after the seizure of part of the Kherson region.
Earlier, Intent wrote that law enforcement officers announced the completion of a pre-trial investigation against two collaborators who participated in illegal"elections" in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region from the United Russia party.
According to the Kherson Regional Police, one of the defendants voluntarily ran for the so-called "council of deputies of the Kakhovka municipal district" in occupied Kakhovka in 2023. After the pseudo-elections, he was elected a "deputy" and later the "head of the Kakhovka municipal district."
This is likely to be the mayor of Kakhovka, Pavlo Filipchuk, who was appointed head of the city by the occupation authorities after the fake elections.
As part of the same investigation, another collaborator, Andriy Kharytonov, was also suspected. According to the investigation, after fleeing from the right bank of the region, he settled in Henichesk and was elected a "deputy" of the so-called "Kherson Regional Duma".
In addition, Kharytonov is involved in the case of the export of grain from the territory of the Kherson Bread Products Plant. According to the investigation, at the end of October 2022, he exported about three thousand tons of barley belonging to Pyriatyn Delicacy and Westagro Trade Commodities LTD.
The indictments against both defendants have now been sent to court. They face up to ten years in prison for participation in illegal authorities in the occupied territory.
