Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine detained a law enforcement officer from Odesa region in Odesa.

This was reported by the press service of the SBI.

According to the investigation, the woman promised one of the men to help him get a white ticket through his friends, doctors and employees of the district center for recruitment and social support. For 25 thousand USD, the man was to be removed from the military register, which would allow him to leave Ukraine.

For this money, the law enforcement officer also guaranteed an additional service to ensure unimpeded border crossing with forged documents. The client was accompanied by car to the checkpoint and transported to Moldova.

The woman was caught trying to send another person liable for military service abroad. She was served a notice of suspicion of promising to influence the decision-making of an official for providing an unlawful benefit for herself and a third party (Article 369-2, part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint and removing her from office is currently being decided, and if the woman is proven guilty in court, she faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.

Earlier, an indictment was sent to court against the former head of the water police sector of one of Odesa's district administrations. He is accused of setting up an illegal scheme to smuggle men of military age abroad (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The prosecutors also sent to court an indictment against the organizer and four members of the organized group on the fact of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine committed by an organized group for mercenary motives.
