The Odesa film studio was damaged as a result of a Russian air strike on the city on the night of June 10, and the scenery for the movie Dovzhenko was completely destroyed.

This was reported by the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Mykola Tochytskyi.

"Pavilions, warehouses, scenery and vehicles were damaged. The scenery for the movie Dovzhenko, a national project about the most famous Ukrainian director, has been completely destroyed. Russia is not only at war with our cities, it is waging war against our culture, memory, and future," the minister wrote on Facebook.

On May 30, the film studio announced that the shooting of the movie was completed. The premiere is scheduled for 2026, the 100th anniversary of the director's work at the Odesa Film Studio.

The team of the Odesa Film Studio and Odesa Film Production Company presented for the first time a teaser of the biopic Dovzhenko, which is scheduled to premiere in 2026 in early May. In 2024, the Odesa Film Studio announced the start of filming in Odesa of the movie The Director, dedicated to the famous Ukrainian director Oleksandr Dovzhenko, which was called the largest-scale film in Ukraine.

The mayor's office also published photos of the aftermath of the attack on the blood transfusion station in Odesa. The building of the State Archives of Odesa Region, which is under UNESCO protection, was also damaged by the fragments of a Russian drone on the night of June 10.

Odesa was once again targeted by the Russian army during the night, killing, according to preliminary information, two people.

According to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, there were no casualties at the maternity hospital, and patients and staff managed to evacuate.

The administrative building of the emergency medical station was also completely destroyed. According to the investigation, on the night of June 10, the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked Odesa with attack drones.
