On January 9, while en route to the port of Chornomorsk, a Russian attack drone hit a civilian ship flying the foreign flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which was on its way to load grain cargo within the Ukrainian Sea Corridor. There were victims. The vessel's seaworthiness was not affected and it is underway and headed for the nearest port. A vessel flying the flag of the Comoros, which was transporting soybeans, was also attacked near the port of Odesa. A crew member, a Syrian citizen, was killed in the attack.
