A Russian citizen was served in absentia a notice of suspicion of collaboration and justification of the occupation of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, in March 2023, the 46-year-old Russian was appointed the so-called "head of the government of the Kherson region" - an occupation body created by the invaders. In this position, he organized the work of the pseudo-government, appointed "deputy ministers" and other representatives of the illegal administration. The suspect signed documents, issued resolutions and orders, and supervised their implementation.

In his interviews with Russian media, he called for the "integration" of Kherson region into Russia, and spread anti-Ukrainian messages on his own telegram channel. He called on local residents to cooperate with the occupation authorities, participated in propaganda events, and even campaigned to vote in the "presidential elections in Russia."

The SBU exposed the activities of Oleksandra Pshenychna in the occupied territory of Kherson region. The woman used to be the starosta of the village of Zaozerne, and after the occupation she cooperated with the enemy and ran an illegal administration.

In addition, the head of Radensk and Chelburda villages Oleksandr Filenko was served a notice of suspicion .

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine served suspicion notices in absence to two residents of Kherson who collaborated with the Russian invaders during the occupation of the city. One of them is a former manager atKhersongaz JSC. Also, Olena Chepinoga, a 67-year-old resident of the resort town of Skadovsk in the Kherson region, who voluntarily headed the culture department of the occupation administration and supports the Russian invaders, was suspected of collaboration.
