The renovation of the canteen and catering department of a lyceum in Mykolaiv Oblast is 65% complete, but the work was suspended due to emergency materials and the need to adjust the project. Additional funds have already been allocated for additional work.

This was reported by MikVisti with reference to the Prozorro public procurement system.

Work on the modernization of the dining room and catering department of the local lyceum in Koblevo is 65% complete, but repairs were suspended due to the discovery of an emergency stove and the need to adjust the project. Additional funds have already been allocated for additional work.

According to the electronic procurement system, the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Kobleve Village Council announced an additional tender for UAH 4.4 million, after the previous contract for UAH 9.6 million was signed with Master Bud-Montazh LLC. The first tender was challenged due to violations of the law, after which the agreement was terminated, but the contractor won the second tender again.

Head of the Education Department Oksana Verbyk explained that the additional funds were used to replace an emergency stove, repair the dining room, and replace the wiring for the new equipment. The project also provides for the modernization of the meat and fish shop, vegetable processing area, main cooking area, ventilation, doors, walls, and floors, and the basement of the lyceum will be equipped with playgrounds and water tanks.

According to the official, the contractor promises to complete all the work by October. The company's previous experience has caused auditors to comment: last year, the State Audit Service recommended terminating the contract for work in Mykolaiv Oblast due to violations of procedures, but the customer agreed to the early completion of the agreement.

Master Bud-Montazh LLC was registered in Mykolaiv in 2020 and is founded by local resident Dmytro Chepak. The company regularly receives government contracts in Mykolaiv region. According to media reports, the company has been repeatedly accused of overcharging for construction materials, including OSB boards. In 2023, the Department of Urban Planning, Architecture and Capital Construction of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration purchased expensive OSB boards through Master Bud-Montazh to replace windows damaged by shelling.
