The parents of four Crimean women detained by the occupiers , Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova and Fevziye Osmanova , went to the Russian Ombudsman, but on the way they were detained twice and held for more than five and a half hours at the Russian Foreign Ministry in Khlevna district.

This was reported by Krym.Realii.

The first detention took place at night in the Voronezh region of Russia. The delegation consisted of 16 people, including parents, a lawyer and an elder of the Crimean Tatar people. At first, part of the delegation was taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Bogucharsky district, and the rest to the police department. After passport checks, everyone was released around 4 am.

At around 8 a.m. local time, the minibuses were detained again by the traffic police, this time in the Lipetsk region. Quoting a member of the delegation, the security forces threatened to ''call in the special forces and lay everyone out.

Because of the detention, relatives of the 16 Crimeans who were on their way to meet with the Russian ombudsman immediately filed complaints with the Russian Prosecutor General's Office and the Prosecutor's Office of the Khlevensky district of Lipetsk region.

''We need to find out the reason for the detention, as it has not been announced. They have been there for five and a half hours without being charged and without any explanation of further actions. I would like my parents to return home as soon as possible,'' commented Hamza Urinbayev, brother of the arrested Nasiba Saidova.

He also noted that he had appealed to the Russian Interior Ministry, but received no response from the law enforcement agencies. Urinbayev submitted a written appeal to the Ministry with a request to ''take urgent measures to respond, bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the possibility of free movement'' for his relatives, and also made an oral appeal to the prosecutor's office.
