A conflict involving businessman and owner of the Palladium and Ithaca clubs ValeriyTverdovsky took place in Odesa. After the video of the use of gas spray and the man's detention by force appeared, the businessman said he had appealed to the police.

This was reported by Suspilne.

On the evening of May 5, Odesa telegram channels began to actively spread a video of a conflict involving men in uniform and an Odesa businessman. The footage shows a man who looks like the owner of the Palladium and Ithaca clubs being sprayed in the face with a gas canister.

Later, several uniformed men are seen forcibly detaining another man and putting him in a minibus. Also in the frame were police officers and a girl who asked them not to take her moped.

In a commentary, Tverdovsky confirmed that he was indeed in the video. According to him, the conflict took place near the scene of the accident, where his friend was.

The businessman said that law enforcement officers were already working at the scene, and he was only trying to explain that the parties to the accident had no complaints against each other. However, according to him, after the minibus arrived, the situation escalated sharply.

The businessman claimed that the men in uniform immediately began to use force and did not check the documents of the man they were detaining. During the conflict, he said, the businessman himself was sprayed with pepper spray.

After the incident, he called the police and wrote a statement. According to the businessman, law enforcement officers informed him that a criminal investigation had been opened.

The businessman also noted that the detained man was later returned to the scene together with representatives of the police and the territorial recruitment center. So far, no official comments have been made publicly available from the police or the Odesa Regional Recruiting Center on the circumstances of the conflict.

Recently, a group of citizens in Odesa disrupted the transportation of conscripts by attacking the official vehicles of the military recruiting center. While security forces were recovering from the use of gas and damage to the vehicle, several passengers disappeared in the middle of the incident.
