Over UAH 1.6 million paid to victims of shelling in Kherson community over a month

In August, 89 people in the Kherson city territorial community who suffered from Russian shelling received more than UAH 1 million 600 thousand in one-time assistance.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson MCA Roman Mrochko.

The official's post says that the Kherson City Military Administration continues to provide one-time financial assistance to those community residents who were injured during the shelling by the occupiers. The aid is provided as support for the community's population in the face of round-the-clock Russian terror.

Mrochko reminded that every resident of the community who was injured as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, as well as relatives of the victims, have the right to apply to the district councils in Kherson and receive payments provided for by the city's comprehensive program "Social Protection".

According to the official, in August, 89 people were paid over UAH 1 million 600 thousand. In case of injuries, UAH 20,000 is paid per adult (74 in August) and UAH 30,000 per child (four children were injured in August). Relatives received 50,000 UAH each for the burial of 11 residents of the Kherson city territorial community killed by enemy shelling.

Earlier it was reported that it was decided to pay almost UAH 23 million for the destroyed property on the territory of the Kherson community. Thus, in Kherson, the commission for the inspection of damaged and destroyed property on the territory of the Kherson city community resumed its work. On August 28, the commission agreed to provide compensation for 18 applicants for housing destroyed by shelling for a total of almost UAH 23 million.

It was also agreed to allocate financial assistance in the amount of UAH 21,000 for almost 9,400 households in Bilozerska, Tyahynska, Stanislavska and Khersonska communities.
