The prosecutor's office has served a notice of suspicion to the deputy head of the Peresypskyi district administration in Odesa for spreading pro-Russian messages and justifying Russian aggression. Law enforcement officers found that the suspect was discussing backlash publications and supporting the enemy's actions via Telegram.
This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, in October-November 2024, the suspect used her cell phone to communicate with an acquaintance via Telegram, discussing publications from pro-Russian channels, approving the actions of the aggressor and expressing hope for an imminent invasion of Ukraine. A forensic linguistic examination confirmed the illegal nature of her statements.
According to media reports, it was the deputy head of the Peresypsk district administration, Kateryna Kyselova.
Intent wrote about the detention of the suspected official of the Peresypsk District Administration, citing a court order. At the time, it was Tamara Tormos, deputy head of the Peresypskyi District Administration of the Odesa City Council, who had a security clearance and was responsible for social protection and policy in the district, including control over the consequences of the arrivals, the number of victims and damaged property.
According to the SBU, the official was spreading pro-Russian messages in her Telegram messages. The prosecutor's office emphasized that the suspicion was substantiated by evidence, including correspondence seized during the searches.
At the court hearing, the woman asked not to be arrested, citing her impeccable reputation, caring for her elderly mother and no intention to hide. However, the court agreed with the investigator and prosecutor's arguments regarding the risks of absconding, influence on witnesses, and possible continued dissemination of prohibited statements online. The court ruled to take the suspect into custody until January 4, 2026, with the right to be released on bail in excess of UAH 1 million.
