The perpetrator filmed the result of his actions and sent it to the customer for a report," said Oleh Zoshchuk, head of the investigation department of the territorial police unit.

One fire went out on its own without spreading beyond the window, and the second fire was extinguished by security personnel who responded to the alarm. In addition to the window, the fire damaged the facade and walls inside the building.

According to the results of the investigators' examinations, the amount of damage caused to the victims amounted to more than 43 thousand hryvnias.

Thepolice charged the man under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - completed attempted intentional damage to property and intentional damage to property committed by arson, by prior conspiracy. After completion of the pre-trial investigation, which was conducted under the supervision of the Kyiv District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa, the indictment was sent to court.
