Odesa region has the fourth largest number of new female fops

In 2025, women registered as individual entrepreneurs 11 thousand 647 times in Odesa region, making it the fourth largest region in Ukraine.

These estimates were shared by experts of the Opendatabot platform.

Every eighth women's business was opened in the capital by 20,286 individual entrepreneurs. Dnipropetrovs'k region is in second and third place with 15,129 registrations, and Kyiv region - 11,846.

However, Sumy, Poltava, and Odesa regions have the highest share of women among new entrepreneurs: 63% each. In no region have men been able to outpace women in terms of the number of new businesses.

In Mykolaiv region, 4,70 new women entrepreneurs opened their businesses, and in Kherson region, 1,142.

One in three new women's businesses is in the retail sector - 49.7 thousand. Individual services (11.1 thousand), wholesale trade (10.7 thousand), education (10 thousand), and food businesses (8.8 thousand) are also in demand.

At the same time, the beauty sector continues to be one of the most dynamic areas of women's entrepreneurship. Thus, 88% of new entrepreneurs who started their own business in the field of personal services are women. Of these, 77% are beauty salons, hairdressing salons, and grooming studios. Women also dominate in social assistance, education, medicine, consulting, and food production.

In total, 153,413 new sole proprietorships were registered by women in 2025, which is 61% of all new registrations. For comparison, back in 2021, the share of women was 51%.

More than 2 million traffic fines are accrued in the Unified Register of Debtors as of the end of October 2025, and 75% of the proceedings have been closed, although they have not been paid.
