The Odesa Patrol Police commented on the video of a police officer fighting with a woman in Preobrazhenskyi Park.

According to the caption under the video, which was shared on Telegram, the patrol officers were "adequately checking documents" when a woman who appeared to be drunk approached and began to confront them.

According to the authors of the video, the woman hit a patrol police officer, and she responded in kind.

The official version of the police is that the patrol policemen noticed a man who started to get nervous when he saw them. Because of his nervousness, the patrol policemen decided to check his documents and found out that the man was wanted as a violator of the law on military duty.

During the conversation with the police, the man suddenly started to walk away, ignoring the lawful demands of the patrol officers, and at that moment a woman, who the patrol officers claimed was intoxicated, approached and said that she was the wife of the detained man.

"The citizen started screaming, covering her husband with herself and tried to get into a fight with the inspectors. Therefore, on the basis of Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police", in connection with the commission of an administrative offense, the police detained the citizen with the use of physical force and a special tool - handcuffs," the police said.

Patrol policemen drew up administrative materials against the woman: under Part 1 of Article 178 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Drinking beer, alcoholic, low-alcohol beverages in places prohibited by law or appearing in public places in a drunken state), Article 173 of the same code (Disorderly conduct), and the man was taken to the district center for recruitment and social support.<span> </span>
