Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has replaced the head of the Kyiv district administration of the city by appointing MP Marina Lozenko to this position.

The corresponding order of the mayor was published by the press service of the Odesa municipality.

In fact, the deputy was transferred to head the administration from the position of the first deputy head of the Kyiv district administration.

The previous head of the administration, Volodymyr Sushkov, was dismissed from this position due to the expiration of his term of service in local government.

Volodymyr Sushkov has been suspended from this position several times and reinstated. In 2018, he was reinstated after being suspended in connection with the fire in the Victoria children's camp - In September 2017, three children died in a fire in the Victoria camp. At the time, the municipal commission concluded that the camp's director Petros Sargsyan, his deputy Tatiana Lanina, and the teacher Natalia Yanchyk, who was appointed to be responsible for fire safety, were responsible for the fire at the Victoria children's recreation center.

In June 2013, the head of the Kyiv district administration, Volodymyr Sushkov, and his deputy, Andriy Horshkov, were detained by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine on suspicion of taking bribes in the amount of 16,500 dollars and 160,000 hryvnias, but they failed to prove his guilt, so he filed a lawsuit demanding his reinstatement and won the case.

As for Maryna Lozovenko, she is also a member of the Trust the Deeds faction in the Odesa City Council and the Standing Committee on Territorial Development Planning, Urban Design, Architecture and Cultural Heritage Protection. Also, until February 2023, she was the ultimate beneficial owner of the limited liability company BVK Pik-Stroy.

In 2021 , detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine detained Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv Serhii Korenev on the border with Hungary. At the same time, they detained Marina Lozenko, a deputy of the Odesa City Council, Oleksandr Bryzhaty, the first deputy director of the housing and communal services department of the Mykolaiv City Council, and another head of a private company.

They were suspected of embezzling UAH 26.8 million during the reconstruction of Soborna Square in Mykolaiv.
