Odesa Extends Alcohol Sales Hours Amid Curfew Changes

The Odesa Regional Military Administration has extended by two hours the period during which alcoholic beverages can be sold in the region.

Alla Stoyanova, Director of the Department of Agrarian Policy, Food and Land Relations of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this in a telegram.

According to her, due to the change in the curfew from 00:00 to 5:00, alcohol will now be sold in Odesa and the region until 22:00.

However, the sale of alcoholic beverages to members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, as well as representatives of military formations and law enforcement agencies is still strictly prohibited.

It should be noted that starting from June 22, 2022, the sale of all types of alcoholic beverages in Odesa and Odesa region is allowed from 9:00 to 20:00.

The sale of all types of alcohol in Odesa region was allowed on May 13. However, sales were allowed until 18:00.

The first relaxation in this regard took place on April 1. Since then, the sale of beer and wine has been allowed until 15:00.

Prior to that, on March 2, the sale of alcohol and potent chemicals in the region was banned altogether.

On February 28, 2023, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration , Maksym Marchenko , announced that the curfew in Odesa and Odesa region would be reduced from March 1.

That is, one hour less than now.

Starting May 25, the curfew in Odesa region starts at 23:00 every day and lasts until 05:00 the next day.

The last time the curfew was reduced was in April. It was on April 20, 2022, that the curfew was introduced from 22:00 to 05:00 in Odesa and Odesa region.

On March 29, the curfew was introduced from 21:00 to 06:00 in Odesa and Odesa region.

Starting March 13, the curfew in Odesa lasted from 20:00 to 06:00, and before that it was an hour longer - from 19:00.

On the Day of the Liberation of Odesa from Nazi invaders, an extended curfew was in effect in Odesa and the region due to the threat of a missile attack.

The same as on May 9.

On August 22, however, there were no changes in the time and duration of the curfew in the immediate future in Odesa and Odesa Oblast. However, mass events on the occasion of Independence Day were banned.

During the curfew, it is prohibited for people to be on the streets and in other public places during the specified hours without specially issued passes and certificates.
