Odesa City Council convened for an extraordinary session

The interim mayor of Odesa, Igor Koval, has called an extraordinary session of the city council.

According to the press service of the Odesa City Hall, the deputies will meet on June 11.

The agenda currently includes 15 issues, most of which relate to the size of the authorized capital of municipal enterprises, which is planned to be increased. The deputies will also be asked to approve the maximum amounts of expenditures for the purchase of furniture, other equipment, computers, mobile phones, and payment for mobile communication services by executive bodies of the Odesa City Council, institutions and organizations that are funded by the budget of the Odesa city territorial community.

The agenda also includes the issue of determining the municipal enterprise Odestransparkservice as the operator of paid parking lots.

The meeting was announced on June 9. It should be noted that the session was preceded by two meetings of the executive committee, which concerned the increase of the authorized capital of municipal enterprises, one of which was scheduled for June 5, but was postponed to June 8.

Ihor Koval, acting mayor of Odesa, explained that the issue of changing the authorized capital is important because the city council is currently preparing to process a loan.

It is also worth noting that the session is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., while the executive committee is scheduled to meet at 12:00 p.m., where 12 issues are also planned to be considered.

The previous meeting of the executive committee was held on May 28. It considered dozens of decisions affecting the life of the city during the war. Also, on May 18, the executive committee was convened for an extraordinary meeting due to amendments to the decision of June 19, 2025 "On determining the need of the territorial community of Odesa in the fund of civil defense facilities".
