Thirty-six cases under the article "evasion of mobilization" have already been considered by Russian courts in Crimea between April and June 2025.
This was reported by the Crimean Human Rights Group.
In three months, the courts controlled by the Russian Federation delivered twenty-three guilty verdicts, there are four decisions of the appellate instance to uphold the verdict, and nine cases are under consideration.
"Russia is using Crimeans in a full-scale war against Ukraine. In order to force them to serve in the Russian Armed Forces, the occupation authorities are using criminal prosecution for evading mobilization. Most often, courts impose fines of up to 50 thousand rubles. However, the payment of a fine does not exempt from service," the statement said.
Since the annexation of the peninsula, human rights activists have recorded 613 criminal cases for evading mobilization.
There have also been cases of forced mobilization of Crimeans, including with the use of threats, pressure and falsifications.
The occupation authorities of Crimea accuse a resident of the former Saki district of "high treason " for communicating with a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to an official of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, who has been working in the occupation administration since March 2024. He currently faces up to 10 years in prison.
Human rights activist and political prisoner Riza Izetov was transferred to an unknown destination from Yakutsk. All court cases have been suspended.
The Russian-controlled authorities of the occupied Crimea have decided on the buyer of the Yalta seaport. The auction for the sale of 100% of the shares has been completed.
