Since the beginning of May, Russian troops have used more than 12,000 drones in the Kherson sector. The greatest threat to Ukrainian defenders today is posed by attack drones, which the enemy is using en masse.

This was reported by Pavlo Drogal, spokesman for the 30th Marine Corps.

According to him, the tactics of the Russian military have not changed significantly, but the occupiers are actively scaling up terrorist methods of warfare.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military managed to weaken the activity of enemy artillery and aviation due to effective counter-battery combat.

"Speaking about their artillery, we are conducting a very effective counter-battery fight. In just a partial month of May, we destroyed 17 enemy artillery installations. Nowadays, the greatest danger is posed by attack drones, because the enemy uses them most widely," noted Pavlo Drogal.

He also added that Russian aviation continues to carry out strikes, but they are no longer as large as before.

As a reminder, on May 24, Russian troops launched an artillery strike on the territory of a market in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. The attack killed two people and injured seven other civilians.

Over the past day , Russian troops massively attacked Kherson region with drones, aircraft and artillery. Kherson and 30 other settlements in the region were hit, killing one person and injuring 11 others.

Recently, Russian troops shelled a church and a police checkpoint in Kherson region.

On May 21, ten people were injured as a result of Russian aggression. In addition, the shelling damaged two high-rise buildings and six private houses. The occupiers also damaged a cell tower, a production workshop, a private garage and the cars of local residents.

As a reminder, on May 14, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, Russian military attacked the vehicles of the UN humanitarian mission from a drone. The attack took place despite international norms that prohibit the shelling of humanitarian missions and civilian vehicles used to help the population.
