In the Korabelny district of Kherson, the Russian military attacked the vehicles of the UN humanitarian mission with a drone.
According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, the attack damaged the vehicles of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The attack took place despite international norms that prohibit shelling of humanitarian missions and civilian vehicles used to help the population. Information about possible victims is currently being clarified.
Meanwhile, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported the death of a woman as a result of another attack by the Russian military in the city.
According to the investigation, on May 14, at about 10:10 a.m., the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on a street in Kherson. A 68-year-old local resident was in the hit zone. The woman died on the spot from her injuries.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was opened into a war crime combined with premeditated murder under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, prosecutors and police investigators are documenting further war crimes committed by the Russian military in the Kherson region.
Recently, in Kherson, the Russian occupiers again attacked public transportation with a drone. A shuttle bus of a municipal enterprise of the Kherson City Council was hit.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the situation in Kherson and the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, in particular in Oleshky, is "particularly difficult." According to him, the evacuation of people from the left bank of the region remains extremely difficult.
In addition, the Russian military attacked a civilian car carrying employees of a local enterprise. A 60-year-old man was killed in the attack. Five other people sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.
