On September 22, mines were found on the territory of the Kherson branch of Suspilne after an inspection by the State Emergency Service. The reason for their appearance is the dropping of Russian drones.

This was reported by Dmytro Kozlov, a member of the board of Suspilne, in a commentary to the Institute of Mass Information.

After the mines were discovered, the area was closed to the public. Previously, the territory was cleared of explosive devices after the de-occupation, but the latest findings indicate that the Russians "started to spray" it again. Kozlov emphasized that the safety of media workers is a priority, so steps are being worked out to completely close the facility.

This incident took place against the backdrop of a tragic event: On September 22, Vadym Khomenko, the chief engineer of Suspilne Kherson, was killed by a Russian mine in Kherson. He is now in a hospital in moderate condition.

As a reminder, the Ingulsky dredger, which was damaged in July while working at the mouth of the Bystryi River, was successfully raised from the bottom of the canal. According to the USPA, the vessel has been sent for a technical inspection, which will determine the scope and procedure for repair work.

"We understand the strategic importance of this vessel for dredging operations, particularly on the Danube. The restoration of Ingulsky is an important step towards strengthening USPA's ability to perform key functions on its own," the port authority said.

At the end of August, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) began work to raise a dredging vessel that had hit a mine from underwater. The vessel was half-submerged, but it was decided to restore it and use it again. The USPA noted that the vessel was operating within the existing export corridor in an area that is regularly checked for mines.
