On the morning of October 5, near the Moldovan-Ukrainian border at the "Palanka–Mayaki-Udobne" border crossing, a shell fell and ricocheted into a passenger bus.
This was reported by the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova.
According to preliminary information, the shell damaged a parked bus and the driver’s cab. It was also reported that a Border Police officer from the Republic of Moldova was injured. The officer sustained minor injuries.

Operations at the Palanka (Republic of Moldova) – Mayaki-Udobne (Ukraine) border crossing have been suspended. Citizens were urged to refrain from traveling in this area. Moldovan border guards also advised people to take cover if they hear the sound of drones or explosions near the border.
On the morning of October 3, five drones flew over Moldova as Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine. Explosions were heard in several regions of the country. According to the Moldovan police, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scenes to investigate the circumstances. In the Caușeni district, following a report of an explosion, police discovered drone debris and thick smoke. Drone fragments were also found near Dubovka and Hincesti, and another piece of debris was discovered in the Novoanenski District between the villages of Delacau and Pugaceni.
Another explosion occurred near the village of Krokmaz in the Ștefan Voda district. There, vegetation caught fire in a vineyard, and windows were damaged in the agricultural brigade’s building. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
