At least three drones entered Moldovan territory amid massive Russian attacks on Ukraine. One of them crashed, while another crossed the border through the territory of unrecognized Transnistria.

According to Moldovan police, one drone was detected around 5:40 a.m. on September 30. It crashed in the Anenii-Noi area.

Subsequently, the Moldovan Ministry of Defense reported another drone that had entered the country’s airspace from the east via Transnistria. According to Defense Minister Anatoli Nosat, this marked the 84th such incident.

“All these incidents indicate a violation of our national neutrality and sovereignty by the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation is endangering the lives of our citizens,” Nosat said.

In the evening, reports emerged of a third drone. The Moldovan Air Force confirmed that at approximately 8:45 p.m., it illegally crossed the country’s airspace amid large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine.

Due to the incident, the central part of Moldova’s airspace was temporarily closed.

Such incidents have become systematic. Russian drones have repeatedly violated Moldova’s airspace during attacks on the Odesa region and other regions of Ukraine. In recent weeks alone, Moldovan authorities have reported numerous instances of drones and their debris on their territory.

For example, on the morning of September 24, four Russian drones violated Moldova’s airspace. This occurred during a Russian attack on the Odesa region.

And on the night of September 18, a loud explosion was heard in the Moldovan village of Colonitsa, 2 kilometers from the eastern outskirts of Chisinau. Police later found drone debris at the scene.

Earlier, during strikes on the Odesa region, a Russian missile drone strayed into Moldovan territory and crashed into a cornfield, causing an explosion and a fire.
