On the evening of October 30, a Russian jet-powered drone struck a business center in Odesa. The attack caused a fire, and one person is known to have been injured.

This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

“The enemy struck a business center in Odesa; one person was injured,” Kipper said.

The State Emergency Service added that the attack damaged the roofs and facades of two buildings in the business center. The blast wave shattered windows and partially destroyed walls on the fifth floor. A fire also broke out.

Rescue workers extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading further. More than 20 rescue workers from the State Emergency Service were deployed.

Odessa residents heard the drone alert at 10:46 p.m.

“A jet-powered UAV is heading toward Odesa from the Black Sea,” the Ukrainian Air Force warned.

At first, the jet-powered drone circled over the city for a while, then headed toward Usatovo, and later toward Ovidiopol. It was soon spotted near the airport and later in the Cheremushky neighborhood.

At around 11:07 p.m., a powerful explosion rocked Odesa.

According to the Air Force, on the night of October 1, Russia attacked Ukraine with 107 strike UAVs, 63 of which were jet-powered. Air defense forces shot down or neutralized 87 drones.

Impacts were recorded at 11 locations, and debris was found at four.

This is the second attack on business centers in Odesa in the past two weeks. On September 18, Russia struck an administrative buildingon Serednofontanska Street.

The strike hit the upper floors—a large hole formed in the facade, and thick smoke billowed from the damaged premises. A second strike followed the first, and the attacks continued into the night of September 19. At that time, there were no reports of casualties or injuries.
