The Mykolaiv Vodokanal utility company of the Mykolaiv City Council is changing its management structure and cutting some of its administrative and managerial positions. Instead, employees are being offered engineering and technical positions.

This was reported by MikVisti with reference to the company's director Gennadiy Izyumov.

According to him, the changes are related to the need to bring the management staff in line with the production needs of the enterprise.

"These are point solutions. It is not about laying off people, but only about reducing positions. Employees are offered engineering and technical vacancies in accordance with their area of expertise," explained Gennadiy Izyumov.

He noted that five administrative and managerial positions have already been cut. At the same time, only one person, former commercial director Vasyl Telpis, resigned due to the reorganization.

According to Izyumov, Telpis resigned by agreement of the parties and is now working as a leading specialist at the Regional Water Resources Office at the treatment plant.

The director of Mykolaivvodokanal also emphasized that the company is currently short of workers.

As a reminder, employees of Mykolaiv Vodokanal appealed to Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych demanding the dismissal of the company's director Gennadiy Izyumov.

Earlier, Mykolaiv announced a tender for the reconstruction of a sewer collector on Chkalova Street, with more than UAH 59 million to be spent on the work. The project envisages a complete replacement of worn-out networks and modernization of infrastructure with a deadline of the end of 2026.

The municipal utility also announced a tender for the restoration of the road surface after repairs on city networks. The works include the preparation of the base and laying of new asphalt on damaged road sections. More than UAH 19 million is planned for this purpose.
