Mykolaiv signed an agreement for electricity supply with a company with billions of dollars in revenue

Mykolaiv has signed a contract for the supply of electricity for outdoor lighting with a company that has earned more than seven billion hryvnias in tenders over the past seven years. The bidding was held without a competitive procedure.

This is evidenced by data from the electronic public procurement system Prozorro.

On December 26, the self-supporting construction mechanization unit signed an agreement for the supply of electricity for outdoor lighting facilities. It is noted that the service is intended for the city districts, except for the Korabelny district, Varvarivka, V. Korenykha, and M. Korenykha village.

Only one company submitted its proposal, which was awarded the contract for UAH 10.6 million. This is Mykolaiv Electric Supply Company LLC, which has been participating in the bidding since 2018.

The company has to provide services from January 1 to March 31, 2025. The place of supply is street lighting control cabinets in Mykolaiv. In total, 336 facilities need electricity supply.

According to the YouControl online analytical system, Mykolaiv Electricity Supply Company LLC was registered in 2018 with a registered capital of UAH 200 thousand. The main activity of the company is electricity trading.

The founder of Mykolaiv Electricity Supply Company LLC is Mykolaivoblenergo Joint Stock Company.

Since 2018, the company has earned UAH 7 billion 867 million 130 thousand 271 from public procurement. The company earned the most in 2023-2024.

The company's main customers are utilities, educational institutions, departments, and village councils. In general, the services relate to the supply of electricity, but there is also the supply of natural gas.

Recently, the Civil Protection Department signed a contract for the construction of a warning system for Mykolaiv region with a company that has been the subject of several journalistic investigations. The company had no competitors in the bidding. The deal amounted to 86 million.

In addition, Mykolaiv plans to spend UAH 89 million from the city budget in 2025 on the maintenance of green areas. Mykolaivski Parky, a municipal utility company, has announced a tender for the purchase of services for the maintenance of public gardens, green areas and public transport stops in three districts of the city: Central, Korabelny and Ingulsky.
