Mykolaiv Region Faces 3,121 Air Raids and 405 Explosions in February

More than three thousand air raid alarms were sounded in Mykolaiv region over the past month. Explosions were reported more than four hundred times in the region.

This is evidenced by the Air-alarms statistics.

In February 2025, there were 3,121 air raids. The average duration of the alarms was 1 hour 4 minutes and 59 seconds, with the longest one on February 28, which was 3 hours 33 minutes and 18 seconds.

The media reported explosions 405 times. The highest number of reports of explosions was in Mykolaiv, Ochakiv, Voznesensk, Snihurivka, Novyi Buh, and Pivdenoukrainsk.

The number of threats of shelling in Ochakiv amounted to 787, in Mykolaiv region - 613, and in Mykolaiv - 11. In total, there were 1412 threats of artillery shelling during the period.

In January 2025, the longest air raid alert in Mykolaiv region lasted almost ten hours. On average, the danger signal was heard for about two hours. The longest alert was recorded on January 27: the alert began at 20:29 and lasted 9 hours, 51 minutes, and 53 seconds. In total, the air alert was announced 77 times during the month.

The most frequent alarms were on Friday, as well as at six and ten o'clock in the evening. In nine cases, the media reported explosions. The threat of artillery shelling was recorded three times, and the explosions themselves were most often heard in Mykolaiv, Snihurivka and Ochakiv.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, air alerts have been issued in the region 3,040 times, and the threat of artillery strikes has been announced 1,411 times. Explosions have been reported in Mykolaiv, Ochakiv, Voznesensk, Snihurivka, Novyi Buh, and Pivdenoukrainsk.

At the end of last year, the local authorities formed a budget to finance measures to protect the population. The program is aimed at protecting people, territories, the environment, as well as material and cultural assets from emergencies and hazardous events. The total amount of funding is over UAH 462 million.
