The Mykolaiv Parks utility company will be given ownership of 310 trees for planting in the city.

This became known from the relevant draft decision of the city council session. It is scheduled to be considered at the next meeting on February 26.

The saplings include 150 Crimean pine and 160 sharp-leaved maple saplings . All the saplings are being transferred to Mykolaiv Parks as usufruct from the Department of Housing and Communal Services. This status means that the company will have the right to own and use the property in its work, but is not able to sell, donate or otherwise dispose of it.

A total of UAH 880.5 thousand was allocated for the purchase of 310 trees, where the cost of sharp-leaved maple seedlings amounted to UAH 480 thousand, and Crimean pine - UAH 400.5 thousand.

Earlier, Mykolaiv announced a tender for the purchase of flower seedlings. More than a million hryvnias were allocated from the budget for this purpose. The procurement was ordered by the Mykolaiv Parks utility company. The tender was announced for flower seedlings worth UAH 1 million 63 thousand 430.

The seedlings must be 15 to 20 centimeters high, healthy, free of mechanical damage or disease, with a well-developed root system, and match the specified varieties and colors. Flower seedlings should be well moistened, free of pests and diseases, in pots 9-11 cm in diameter.

For example, the flowers should include blue and white ageratum, yellow tagetis, brilliant red salvia, red coleus, silver seaside cineraria, ever-flowering red, white and pink begonia, gazania and ampelous pelargonium.
