Under the procedural supervision of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 44-year-old junior inspector of the regime and security department of the Mykolaiv Pretrial Detention Center, who actively supported Russian aggression, was served a notice of suspicion.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, the suspect actively published materials in pro-Russian Telegram channels, where he openly called for a strike on the building of the detention center where he works, using offensive language against his colleagues and Ukrainian servicemen.

The defendant's actions were openly cynical and testified to his pro-Russian position. The suspect called his hometown Mykolaiv a 'Russian city' and openly wished it to be captured by Russian troops. He characterized the occupation of Ukrainian territories as salvation and liberation, while he called Ukrainian defenders 'fascists' and wished them death. Instead, he praised the Russian military and called them 'brothers'.

During the search , the police seized the suspect's cell phones and a tablet with evidence of his illegal activities. The man is charged with production and dissemination of materials justifying armed aggression, as well as intentional actions aimed at inciting national hatred (Part 2, Part 3 of Art. 436-1, Part 1 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The suspect is in custody. If found guilty, he faces up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations under the operational support of the SBU.
