Mykolaiv plans to eliminate the consequences of flooding in the Northern neighborhood

Mykolaiv has announced a tender for the production of documentation for the elimination of the consequences of flooding in the Pivdennyi neighborhood. One and a half million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget for this purpose.

This is evidenced by the data of the electronic public procurement system Prozorro.

The Mykolaiv Housing and Utilities Department has announced a tender for the production of design and estimate documentation for the project "Elimination of the consequences of flooding of the Pivdennyi microdistrict - new construction of a complex of drainage facilities for engineering protection against flooding of the Pivdennyi microdistrict in Mykolaiv, including pre-design work and expertise."

According to the tender documentation, the site is potentially flooded. The construction of drainage facilities should protect the neighborhood from flooding for the next 50 years.

The selected contractor must develop design and estimate documentation by July 1, 2025.

This is not the first time that the Mykolaiv Housing and Utilities Department has announced a procurement for this service. In May, the tender was held, and in June, an agreement was signed with the selected contractor. It was Dorproektbud, which offered the lowest price for the service. But according to Prozorro, the agreement was terminated on December 6 due to the contractor's failure to fulfill its obligations.

New construction of a coastal protection structure along Lazurna Street in Mykolaiv is also planned. The goal of the project is to create an effective and sustainable system of coastal protection against erosion and the negative impact of water masses. The local budget allocated one million hryvnias in 2023 out of the required forty.

In addition, Mykolaivvodokanal announced a tender for the design, supply, and construction and installation of water supply networks in the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv. This project is being implemented as part of the initiative "Unrevenue Water: Reconstruction of the Water Supply System in a Selected Area of Mykolaiv, Ukraine".
