Mykolaiv has updated the list of specialized civil protection services by approving regulations on 10 such structures. The new decision should improve the efficiency of emergency response.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council.

The Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council has approved an updated list of local specialized civil protection services. The goal is to improve the work of the city link of the territorial subsystem of the unified state civil protection system.

According to Serhiy Zhmur, acting head of the Department of Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of Mykolaiv City Council, the decision was made due to changes in legislation and was supported by the SES and regional authorities.

In particular, the decision of the executive committee approved regulations on 10 specialized services, including:

In addition, the Department of Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the City Council should provide methodological assistance in preparing the necessary documentation for the work of these services.

The previous decision of the executive committee of September 25, 2024, which regulated a similar list, has lost its force.

In March, Mykolaiv revised the composition and volume of the material reserve for rapid response to emergencies, including under martial law. The changes include replenishment of emergency equipment, construction materials, personal protective equipment and other vital resources.

In May, the government also decided to reallocate funds from the special fund of the budget for 2025. Instead of major repairs to residential buildings affected by the armed aggression, UAH 30.5 million was allocated for the maintenance and development of roads in the city.
