Medvedchuk's traitor firm exported grain from Kherson region and worked for titanium business in Crimea

A company associated with Viktor Medvedchuk helped the Russians export grain from the occupied Zaporizhzhia region and cooperated with the titanium business in Crimea, which is controlled by the Rothenberg oligarchs. She received more than $2 million for logistics services.

This was the subject of a joint investigation by journalists from Slidstvo.Info and KibOrg.

Investigators found that in 2023, the Russian company Florence, which is associated with Medvedchuk, was involved in logistics: it provided transportation of grain from the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region through Crimea to Turkey.

In addition, according to documents obtained by journalists, after the seizure of part of the Kherson region, Titanium Investments, a titanium dioxide producer in the annexed Crimea, entered into an agreement with Florence for transportation services. According to the contract, the route of transportation of raw materials ran through the Kherson region.

As noted in the investigation, according to the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, in 2024, Florence received 211.2 million rubles for logistics services, which is more than 2 million US dollars.

Until the end of 2021, Titanium Investments was owned by Ukrainian businessman Dmytro Firtash, but later came under the control of Russian oligarchs Arkady and Boris Rotenberg, Putin's associates.

Viktor Medvedchuk, the Russian president's godfather, was accused in Ukraine of treason and aiding the aggressor. He was detained in April 2022 and handed over to Russia in September of the same year as part of a large-scale prisoner exchange.

Last year, Viktor Medvedchuk, Putin's godfather and former head of the banned Opposition Platform - For Life party in Ukraine, openly called for the seizure of Odesa and other Ukrainian cities if Kyiv refused to accept the terms of surrender offered by Russia. He said that Russia should occupy "Odesa and other cities" if Ukraine does not agree to Putin's so-called "peace initiative" that provides for the abandonment of four regions, Crimea and non-aligned status.

The aggressor country has made Crimea a key logistics center for the export of looted Ukrainian grain. Every year, Russia transports millions of tons of agricultural products from the occupied regions through the Crimean ports, using forged documents, fictitious companies and the so-called "shadow fleet."
