The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy conducted a study that confirmed the existence of signs of affiliation of the Kyiv Metropolis of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) with the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).
This was reported by the State Department of National Policy.
In view of this, the State Ethnic Policy sent an order to the UOC to eliminate the identified violations. These requirements included a public statement of disagreement with the appointment to the statutory governing bodies of the ROC, termination of powers, severance of ties with the ROC, and condemnation of the annexation of Ukrainian dioceses.
However, the head of the UOC, Metropolitan Onufriy , refused to comply with this order. According to the current legislation, if a religious organization recognized as affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church fails to eliminate violations, it automatically loses the right to use state property 60 days after receiving the order.
Bishop Borys Gudziak visited the Odesa Art Museum. He met with cadets of military educational institutions to discuss important topics such as dignity, the ability to concentrate on the main thing, and patience. In particular, he was presented with a project dedicated to the anniversary of the Grekov Art School, which, according to the director, had a special response in the heart of the bishop.
At a meeting with representatives of the business community, they discussed the phenomenon of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), the importance of moving forward, and the absence of an inferiority complex. The Metropolitan drew parallels between Odesa and Lviv and discussed the qualities of a leader during the war, as well as Ukraine's place in the global context. One of the main tips from Bishop Gudziak was an appeal: ''We need to be people of hope and to push on.
