In the Kherson region, local residents suffer not only from constant enemy attacks, but are often injured as a result of remote mining of dirt roads, roadsides, fields and forests with enemy anti-personnel mines. Recently, a man from the frontline village of Zmiivka in Beryslav region stepped on a Russian "petal" mine and was injured.
According to the Kherson regional police, the village elder asked the territorial unit to evacuate a 48-year-old man who had stepped on a Russian petal mine on the road and injured his foot as a result of the detonation.
"Due to the constant shelling of the village, the only people who could come to the danger zone and take the wounded man out were police officers," the agency added.
Therefore, the crew of the patrol police response team of the Beryslav district department immediately went to help the wounded. The police officers got to the stabilization center as quickly as possible and handed the victim over to medics.
The police once again urge citizens to avoid mine sites, be careful, look at your feet and do not touch unfamiliar objects. If you find any suspicious findings, immediately report them to the special line "101" or "102".
These explosive devices are very insidious! They are small and can be easily hidden in the grass, under leaves or in the ground. The slightest touch can cause an explosion.
Earlier in Zmiyivka , a 62-year-old local resident tripped a"petal" anti-personnel mine near his home. He sustained blast injuries and leg wounds and is currently in hospital. Also in Antonivka village, a 61-year-old local resident became a victim of a Russian "petal" mine. As a result of the explosion, the man sustained serious injuries - an explosive wound and a foot injury. The victim was promptly taken to a hospital. In addition, in the village of Mylove , Beryslav community, a drone dropped a dangerous anti-personnel mine of the "petal" type on the territory.
