Kherson region defenders receive new drones and pickups

The Kherson region has reinforced the region's defenders with the necessary components.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Thus, the sapper units of one of the Marine Corps Coastal Defense Brigades received large batches of necessary components for firepower.

According to the head of the UDA, this purchase will help make the "hunt" for Russian occupants more effective.

The community of Askania-Nova assisted in the purchase by allocating 600 thousand hryvnias for this purchase.

Also, as part of the subvention, soldiers of special units of the Kherson Coastal Defense Brigade of the Marines received a dozen and a half heavy attack quadcopters of the operational type. These "New Year's birds" carry up to 40 kilograms of explosives. The cost of the transferred UAVs is over UAH 10 million. The funds were allocated by the Genichesk community of the region.

In addition, we continue to purchase pickup trucks and other equipment for the needs of the Defense Forces combat units defending Kherson region. As part of a government subvention, the National Guard's unmanned aerial vehicle fighter unit was able to purchase three more four-wheel drive pickup trucks. This way, the military, who are in the hottest spots of the frontline, will always have the technical means to successfully complete their tasks. The Lyubymivska community allocated over UAH 5.3 million to purchase these vehicles.

Earlier it was reported that only between December 15 and 21, Russian troops fired 662 times at the positions of Ukrainian defenders and civilian infrastructure. In addition to massive artillery attacks, the enemy also launched two air strikes during the week in an attempt to shake our defense. Between December 15 and 21, the Russian army's losses in this area amounted to 181 occupants killed and wounded. In addition, Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy 149 units of enemy weapons and military equipment, which significantly weakens the offensive potential of the occupiers in the region.

On November 8, 2025, the Ukrainian military repelled the invaders' assault on Velykyi Vilkhovyi Island in the Kherson region, Prydniprovskyi direction.
