Russian troops strike at school and administrative building in Kherson region

The enemy shelled more than 30 settlements in Kherson region and attacked communities in Mykolaiv region with drones and artillery. Residential buildings, educational institutions and infrastructure were damaged, and three people were injured.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Military District Administration, Russian troops continued to attack Kherson region's settlements yesterday, conducting air strikes, artillery shelling and drone attacks. More than 30 settlements came under enemy fire, including Kherson, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Stanislav, Tyahynka and Kachkarivka.

The occupants targeted residential areas, critical and social infrastructure. Six apartment buildings and eleven private houses, an administrative building, an educational institution, a bank building, a bus and several cars of local residents were damaged.

Three residents of the region were injured in the shelling.

According to Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolaiv Military District Administration, yesterday Russian troops attacked the territories of Ochakiv, Kutsurub and Halytsynivka communities nine times with FPV drones and shelled Kutsurub community with artillery three times. The strikes damaged three private houses in the village of Dmytrivka and a hangar of a local agricultural enterprise in the village of Solonchaky. There were no casualties.

On October 17, Russian troops shelled more than 35 settlements in the Kherson region, including Kherson and Beryslav. One person was killed and 11 others were injured in the attacks. In Mykolaiv region, the enemy fired a missile from a Su-34 aircraft and attacked communities with drones. During the day, in Mykolaiv district, the occupiers used FPV drones five times against the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities, and at night they probably struck the Voskresenska community with a multiple rocket launcher system.

In the Kherson region, the shelling damaged seven multi-story and eight private houses, destroyed some medical and educational institutions, a church, a bank building, an outbuilding and private cars. Two museums in Kherson also came under fire: a third of the Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore was destroyed, the roof was punctured, walls were damaged, and some of the exhibits are under threat.
