On the morning of August 10, as a result of the Russian attack, Kherson was covered in smoke.

According to Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, a fire broke out outside Kherson over a large area, so it is impossible to extinguish the fire quickly.

He noted that the situation is complicated by the high probability that the areas where the fire is raging may not yet be cleared of mines. Local residents were urged to be sympathetic to the situation and stay out of the open if possible.

"Rescuers and employees of our utility companies are doing everything possible to eliminate the consequences of another terrorist act of the Russian army against civilians as soon as possible. The information will be updated. Follow our official resources," Mrochko said in a statement.

According to the Kherson Military District Administration, Bilozerka, Shyroka Balka, Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Zelenivka, Zymivnyk, Zorivka, Mykilske, Novodmitrivka, Beryslav, Kachkarivka, Zmiivka, Andriivka, Tomaryne, Novoraysk and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes over the past day.
