The state-owned enterprise Izmail Commercial Sea Port has started looking for a contractor to upgrade the metal structures of five portal cranes by the end of 2025.

An Intent correspondent writes about this with reference to the Prozorro website.

We are talking about two Condor cranes, two Falcons and an Albatross. The port is ready to allocate up to UAH 5 million 962 thousand for their repair. The period allotted to the contractor to upgrade each unit is 25-30 days, depending on the scope of work. Judging by the technical documentation, in some cases, hinge joints and bearings will need to be restored, in others, deformation will need to be eliminated or the gear crown will need to be updated, which, by the way, the customer must provide to the contractor. The corrosion protection of the repair sites must be updated everywhere. Services must be provided without dismantling the boom system and with a 12-month warranty period.

The auction is scheduled for May 16.

In January 2025, the port of Izmail selected a contractor to repair the Condor portal crane for UAH 15.6 million. It was the Odesa-based Remtekhmorport company. And in early May, the port selected Odesa-based Odyssey UA LLC, founded by Tetyana Cherednichenko from Mykolaiv region, as the supplier of a whole list of spare parts for portal cranes. The contract was worth UAH 7 million 725 thousand.

In addition, Izmail seaport signed a large contract for cargo transportation with Ukrzaliznytsia. The expected value of the purchase is UAH 150 million. The contract was concluded under the non-tender procedure of procurement from a single participant, as only Ukrzaliznytsia can provide such services.

Also, the State Enterprise Izmail Commercial Sea Port purchased a minivan from the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai Staria for UAH 2 million 034 thousand by concluding a direct contract, i.e. without bidding. The port purchased the vehicle from the Odesa subsidiary of Basis Auto, the ultimate beneficiary of which is Oleksandr Kaufman, the brother of the odious businessman Borys Kaufman.
